Line was selected by AGEAN as their inaugural Foster the Future fellow in 2023 as a rising senior. Now a recent graduate from Brigham Young University, she works as a PR intern to track and analyze press coverage, identify trends and insights, and coordinate projects. Line has always loved writing, problem-solving, and building relationships, but found a home in PR when she realized that she could pursue all three passions full-time. She loves working to strengthen organizations from within and connecting with people from all over the world. When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking, dancing, and getting lost in a good book or documentary.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Allie got her feet wet in PR and has never looked back. She has worked with a broad range of clients across many different industries such as health and wellness, retail, family and parenting, as well as CPG.

Allie loves a challenge and spends a lot of time facilitating coverage for clients, analyzing our media coverage, building relationships with journalists, tracking trends and keeping the systems and infrastructure going so that Agean has high-performing teams that have the best intel and move fast. Her clients have been featured in many different media outlets including USA Today, BBC, and Fox Business, Architectural Digest, Cheddar, CNBC ‘The News with Shepard Smith’, to name a few.

Emma, a recent graduate from Montclair State University, is an Account Coordinator on the AGEAN team, having been their PR Intern for a year. After double-majoring in Social Media & Public Relations and Women’s Studies, she is eager to apply her critical thinking and creativity skills to her career in PR. Her work as an AGEAN intern taught her skills with clients in a wide range of sectors – including healthcare, travel, and real estate. She is inspired by the art of storytelling, and is passionate about cultivating fresh, innovative ideas. Emma tracks and analyzes press coverage, social and lifestyle trends for clients, using our proprietary AAA (AGEAN Airtable Analytics) platform. Emma is a self-acclaimed dedicated and thorough worker, with a spark of humor and relatability in everything she does. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, reading, and writing.

Helena Clarke

Senior Manager, Media Relations

Following five and a half years at The Lippe Taylor Group, Helena joins the Agean team bringing her expertise in media relations, relationship building, and creative pitching. Her impressive portfolio of clients includes brands such as Serta Simmons Bedding, Dr. Scholl’s, Gaiam Athleisure & Yoga, Quest Health, Live Health Online, Aleve and gaining results in top-tier publications such as The New York Times, The Today Show, WSJ, Esquire, and Architectural Digest.

Helena has a wide range of industry experience and has served clients from the consumer, lifestyle, health, wellness, non-profit, and food/beverage sectors. She currently works across Agean’s travel and consumer health accounts, helping to plan with media strategies and then execute with media outreach.

Helena was the recipient of the School of Communications Strategic Visual Literacy Award at Quinnipiac University. Born and raised in Long Island, Helena now resides on the Upper West Side. When she’s not celebrating the thrill of a great media hit, Helena enjoys all things pop culture, TV, and discussing the latest trends with friends.

Kristen joined AGEAN Public Relations in 2022 as Senior Account Manager and leads and manages our clients’ work across a broad range of industries. She has an active role in client strategy and oversees all public relations activity on behalf of our clients and is heavily involved in increasing brand awareness and brand-building PR efforts on a day-to-day basis. She takes a strategic and thoughtful approach that garners consistent, high-impact media coverage and generates results.

Through her work with the AGEAN team, Kristen has been an integral component of several award-winning PR campaigns that have been widely recognized, and winners of multiple PR industry awards, including: 2023 Campaign of the Year in Travel/Hospitality/Tourism and Best In Integrated Communications by PR News, Best In Media Relations and Best In Business by PRSA-NY, Best PR Campaign by Digiday, Best Global Media Relations Campaign, and Excellence in Media Relations by PR Daily, as well as others.

Her dedication to her team and clients leads Kristen to secure top-tier press coverage across print, digital and broadcast media including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Fox Business, and more. Prior to joining AGEAN, Kristen held roles at Marino PR and Rubenstein Public Relations where she specialized in media relations for many high-profile clients across several verticals, including residential and commercial real estate, financial services, and consumer and lifestyle.

Kristen earned a Bachelor of Science from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Born and raised in New Jersey, she currently lives in Jersey City and works for AGEAN out of NYC. An avid pop culture junkie, when she’s not working you can find her catching up on reality TV or attempting a recipe she saw on Instagram.

Katie Ruesgen, a veteran in the public relations industry with 15 years of experience, has worked with a variety of clients in the retail, health and wellness, food/beverage, and CPG sectors, guiding them on earned media programs and storytelling campaigns. She acts as an extension to client teams, developing strategic media relations programs and connecting to influencers. With her well-developed and strong media relationships, Katie delivers consistent placements for clients in top-tier outlets that drive buzz and awareness.

Katie was a senior leader at Carmichael Lynch Relate, a mid-size PR and advertising agency, where she led the food and CPG media relations practice. There she oversaw programs for Evereve, Garden of Life, Helzberg Diamonds, Arla Foods, Post Cereals, Red Baron Pizza, Stacy’s Pita Chips, to name a few. At AGEAN, she is the Director of Media Relations and helps set the strategies and targets for bringing client programs, products and people to the media in compelling, credible and creative ways.

When Katie is not working, she’s tending to two toddlers that keep her creative juices flowing. A former college athlete, you can find her on Peloton or trying to figure out where she can get her next cup of coffee.

Alyssa Garnick has spent 25 years helping the world’s leading brands grow. She is an award-winning brand campaign architect who can pinpoint the most important ways to tackle a problem and create an idea. She has a passion for building brands and she has spent her career generating ideas, integrated campaigns and results for consumer brands across multiple industries.

Alyssa and her team won one of the first “Best Use of Digital Media” SABRE awards for progressive work on IKEA in 2009. Campaigns that she has either created or managed for brands such as Coca-Cola, IKEA, Philips Norelco and J&J’s o.b. have won multiple industry awards, including three “Campaign of the Year” awards, from PRWeek, Holmes Report SABRE and PRSA-NY Big Apple.

For iconic brands such as Neutrogena, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, P&G’s Secret and Venus brands, Philips Norelco, Old Navy, Hertz, ABSOLUT, Krispy Kreme, TENA and IKEA, Alyssa has been responsible for driving conversation, coverage and commerce and helping mature brands optimize their presence and relevance in social media. She has studied GenZ, Millennials, moms, and women over 50, among other demographics and brings bold insights and ideas to her clients.

Alyssa has worked with the best leaders in marketing, brand-building and PR at multiple agencies. She learned how to generate ideas and media results, create brand-building strategies and build best-in-class teams that nurture the work and each other.

Alyssa was named to PRWeek’s “Top 40 Under 40” list in 2009. When she is not presenting ideas to clients, Alyssa spends time mentoring recent graduates who need help networking or finding jobs. Alyssa admires mature talent and is energized by the younger generation in the PR industry now, and works with both; she is passionate about encouraging people starting their careers in communications and supporting diversity in the industry. She always supports fellow PR people when they ask for advice, career guidance, or ideas and she is currently planning a digital course that covers the art and science of Public Relations.
